By far our most popular trip, this 2 day hike is your gateway to future MountainSphere trips and is your pathway to independence and self reliance in the bush. On this bushwalk you will learn how to read a topographic map and how to use a compass, and you will put these techniques into practise in a real off-track wilderness environment. Whilst the primary objective of the weekend is educational, it is also a great opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and experience a wild and undeveloped environment, a beautiful sandstone landscape, and to enjoy an evening and night of camping away from it all.

Have you previously attended a MountainSphere 2-day navigation training weekend? Do you want more practise and to take your skills to the next level on a 3 day hike? Do you want to consolidate what you have already learned and become a trip leader competent in wilderness navigation?
Offered only to clients who have completed the 2 day navigation weekend, this trip is an opportunity to practise and enhance your skills on a 3 day wilderness hike in varied and navigationally challenging terrain.

The Red Rocks 2 day hike is a spectacular and adventurous hike along the complex ridgeline that divides the Wolgan Valley and the Capertee Valley in the Wollemi National Park.
